Backing Up Data A successful backup strategy consists of storing data to another location, making sure the data you backed-up was copied correctly, and recovering data from the backup location when necessary. A backup strategy is more complex then creating a redundant copy of disk storage and considering the strategy a success. If there is one thing that remains consistent with computers is that they can and will fail, so make sure you have protected your data.


A) Backup using a flash drive is the easiest way to protect your files.
    My Computer > (Find Letter for Flash Drive) > Paste Files Into Flash Drive



B) Backup by burning CD's is a more perminant way to save files.
    Highlight the files you want to save > Right Click > Send To CD-ROM



C) Backup by using an external hard-drive is the most effective.
    My Computer > (Find Letter for Hard Drive) > Paste Files Into Hard Drive
