Hard Disk Clean Up
You may have found that Windows XP's Disk Cleanup utility misses a spot from time to
time, retaining temporary files most recently accessed. Here's how to perform a clean sweep of your Windows XP files by forcing Disk
Cleanup to get rid of all your temporary files. You might select the Temporary Files check box in order to allow the Disk
Cleanup utility to delete the files in the Temp folder, but the Disk Cleanup utility will not remove all of the files. The reason for
this oddity is that the configuration for the Disk Cleanup utility does not allow deletion of files accessed in the last seven days, we know pretty stupid huh.

A) Change the LastAccess setting from 7 to 0 then OK. (see picture) Start Menu > Run... > REGEDIT > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE > Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches\Temporary Files
B) Running Disk CleanUp to delete files will improve performance. Start Menu > Run... > CLEANMGR > Select Drive > Check Boxes > OK
*we suggest running Disk CleanUp at least monthly, for best performance run biweelky.
